That wasn’t in the least bit interesting was it. Not even to me. I’ve got to the semi-annual point where I can’t stand any of my own music.

Also it seems I’ve gotten to the point where I’m shouting at my iPod/iTunes just like one does in disbelief at all the end of year charts and lists that music television and print media compile. I’m sure I listened to other stuff than that more! What was I thinking? Why so much anthemic psuedo-prog guitar rock? Where’s all the beats?

Anyway. I need to discover some new music. What were your iPod autogenerated top 20’s? Trackback to your list or comments below.

Right. Back to wireframing.

  1. Well at least you have a list of what you listened to. I have no such auto generated list and I can’t even remember the start of the year…!

  2. I’ve posted my 101 most played MP3s of the year (according to Audion) here – sad to say Audion won’t generate a text file of the list, I had to fillet the date manually from my playlists. Time to look for a new player…

    rgds, and happy new year….

  3. Hmm, is iTunes supposed to take note of how often you’ve played tracks on the iPod when you sync? Mine doesn’t, only how many times I’ve played tracks in iTunes. 😦

  4. Generated by me sitting on the train making it up my top 20 is here:
Christ its a sad affair looking back at it. It only needs Norah Jones in there for me to have truly gone off the edge.

If you’re looking for new stuff then
tangents and tangents radio are good sources of reviews/samples of hard to find reissues of a lot of stuff that I love to bits. (mountain goats, the wake, razorcuts, russian futurist society, alan tyler, section 25, mary margaret o hara..recently.)
