Game on.

Just found this:

» History of Game Theory

Josh has pointed me towards Herman Hesse before, and loads of ETCON folk told me to read “Enders Game”, which I’ve just started.

Liz is thinking of getting this: “Games and Information”: Eric Rasmusen (Editor)

Where else should the intellectually-challenged user-experience designer begin to get his head around Game Theory??

  1. for pure readableness, go straight to ‘The Prisoner’s Dilemma’ by William Poundstone. Good overview of the basic ideas and the key problems.
There is also this nice bit it in where two RAND profs do ‘think-aloud protocol’ while playing with a simple payoff table that encouraged tit-for-tat strategies. I wouldn’t accept their conclusions with only two participants though.
